What to Pack

July and August: Live in sunscreen, shorts & T-shirts. Add wind/waterproof jacket & jeans for occasional cool evening or shower. Add sweater for open water.

September, October, maybe even November: Live in jeans and jackets. Wind/waterproof jacket & warm inner layers ideal. Warm sunny days and frosty nights make those beautiful fall colours. Kids wear winter jackets under Hallowe'en costumes. Look for snow late November.

December, January, February: Live in snow boots and winter coats. Wind/waterproof jacket & warm inner layers ideal. Precipitation could be rain, even in January. Occasionally we don't need jackets, even in February.

March, April: "In Like a Lion, out Like a Lamb" Live in jeans & jackets but keep snow boots, winter coats and rain gear handy. Plant spinach in April.

May and June: Live in jeans & jackets. Keep rain gear handy. Warm sunny spring days, cool nights. Plant peas in May, set out tomatoes in June with covers handy in case of frost at night.
