Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage (BCAH) – Local Arts and Heritage Festivals
Supports recurring festivals, events and related activities that are organized locally and
actively involve members of the community. These festivals, events or related activities include presentations
that are open to the general public, celebrate one or several aspects of local heritage and/or present
works or performances by local artists.

Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage (BCAH) – Community Historical Anniversaries Programming
Supports non-recurring tributes or commemorations that celebrate major historical
anniversaries of significant local events or local personalities. These events must be organized locally and
actively involve members of the community.

HBC (Hudsons Bay Company) Local History Grant Program
The Hbc Local History Grant Program is designed to assist applicants involved in history and heritage commemoration. Grants up to an amount of $1000 are available to spark new initiatives that promote greater public awareness of Canadian history, particularly among young people. Eligible projects could include the creation of a website; the establishment of a walking tour; a lecture series; an in-schools program; or public exhibit of documents and artifacts.
