Howard Dill is 'the Pumpkin King' and has the distinction of being four-time world champion pumpkin grower. Since his early childhood experiences in 4 -H, Howard Dill wanted to be the best in the world at growing pumpkins. In 1979, his winning pumpkin weighed in at 438 pounds. Although it has been a while since Howard Dill himself has won a world championship, there is a common thread with all current champions - all have used the patented Atlantic Giant Seed to grow their winning specimens. In 2004, Al Eaton of Richmond, Ontario set a new world record, smashing the 1400 pound barrier with seed produced by Howard Dill Enterprises. From his humble beginnings, Howard Dill has created an enterprise that sells over 3,000 pounds of his famous seeds worldwide. Each season there is great anticipation of bigger and better pumpkins, and the company's mission is to continue to provide top-quality seed.
