Feb 4th and 5th 2012- Eagle Watching Parties
The Valley Region of the Navigation Initiative is holding two Eagle Watching Parties! Come join us for free hot mulled cider and hot chocolate, watch the largest wintering population of Bald Eagles in North America feed, fly and roost, and enjoy live music, displays and food at two locations in the Sheffield Mills area.
Feb 13th - 17th 2012- Atlantic Partnership for Tomorrow’s Health Assessment Centre
Nearly one in three people in Nova Scotia will be diagnosed with cancer sometime in their lives. We’d like to change those odds. The information collected in this study will allow researchers to better understand, diagnose and treat cancer and other chronic diseases.
Saturday June 16, 2012- Avondale Art Fair
A Maritime Must Attend Event! You will see a sea of canopy tents that will house the fortunate 100 artists that have been chosen to appear at this show. They span all aspects of quality art created in this part of Nova Scotia. Foot-stomping, hand-clapping, finger-snapping, head-bobbing music will play throughout the day. The aromas of great cooking will waft throughout the fair.
