The Hants Shore is represented by the ship's wheel, a tribute to our
shipbuilding heritage, and the revival of the lost art of wooden
ship and boatbuilding. Throughout history
the rugged and picturesque shoreline has been shaped by the awesome power
of the world's highest tides which thunder through the Bay of Fundy twice
a day. These same tides have molded the character and the lifestyle of
its proud and self-reliant people. Here, our magnificent maritime heritage
and the golden age of sail still live through our businesses, festivals
and historic sites.
Near the airport and poised for flight, the East Hants
area from Enfield to Shubenacadie is the fastest growing
rural area in Nova Scotia. Modern industrial and business
facilities, housing starts, technically enhanced schools
and growing recreational and service center. Vital as a
new dawn - the sky is the limit.
The railway wheel, a tribute to past and present importance
of the railway from Mount Uniacke to Hantsport. Growing
communities surrounding the industrial and retail centers of
Hantsport and Windsor. Steeped in history, commerce and
education, rich in lifestyles and recreation - continues to grow
in the new economies.
Beautiful region of Nova Scotia, rolling hills and river
valleys, forests and green fields, quiet villages and small
towns. A safe, happy, healthy place for children and
families to grow. The best of both worlds: quick access
to major business centers and a scenic country lifestyle.
